Busiest day ever! I haven't an hour free for the next nine, so this post will be short. I picked up this great black tee for $5 at Old Navy recently and I love the embellished neckline.
Otherwise today was about comfort and staying warm (the wind chill is in the negatives...again) while I rush from meeting to presentation to office hours to class. I'm loving the gray twin of my red wool skirt. While I've been meaning to take it to get hemmed a couple inches, today I'm glad for the extra coverage, because it is very brrrrrrr outside.

It's funny how the length of a skirt can be correlative to the chosen top! Today I think this length looks perfect, but with a different top, who knows?
I like the tan belt with this. It adds a nice lighter shade to the whole look. Stay warm and I hope you get through the day without being exhausted.
The cardigan is a great color for you! And I like the way it looks with the black and gray.

love your blog! just wanted to say, after I saw those LL bean boots, I'm dying to get a pair! I didn't think there was such a thing as cute snow boots that was sophisticated enough to go with a skirt!
I love the addition of the off-white skinny belt to this combo... really spices it up and adds some interest with the contrasting (non)color!

I love the detailing on the collar of the shirt, it transforms want would be a normal black tee.
All of the colors worked well together, then we the pop of blue from the cardi.

Super thrift find! I am always looking for great skirts. I haven't tried a skinny belt with a pencil skirt yet...I love the inspiration I find with my daily blog reads. By the way, I was inspired by your post from yesterday to order some Bean boots. I considered buying them earlier in the winter, but opted for huge Sorel boots instead, which have sat in their Endless box for months unworn. If the Bean boots work out I'm sending those giant robot boots back. :)
